Welcome! The MLWGS Band Program provides a comprehensive, four-year instrumental performance education to students. All band students at MLWGS perform in one of two concert bands and/or percussion ensemble. Comprising of about 90 students, one in eight students at Maggie Walker participate in the band.

Advanced Placement courses, weighted ("intensive") band classes, and Senior Seminars are offered for musicians interested in advanced performance, theoretical concepts, songwriting, and music production. Classes are taught in a non-competitive, inviting atmosphere with a tradition of excellence. See the course planning guide below to plan your musical journey at MLWGS.
