Orchestra Classes

At MLWGS, you will receive a deep and comprehensive musical education. We offer three different orchestra ensembles: Intermediate Orchestra, Advanced Orchestra, and Artist Orchestra.  The Maggie Walker orchestra program has been under the baton of Allison Barnes for 5 years. We are proud of the following accomplishments:

• 2025 VBODA Honor Orchestra
• Superior Ratings regularly at district assessment
• Regularly having students accepted into Junior Regional Orchestra 
• Regularly having students accepted into Senior Regional Orchestra
• Regularly having students accepted into All-Virginia Band and Orchestra 
• Students participating and receiving superior ratings at district Solo and Ensemble
